Autodesk seems to be touting civil3d as BIM, again:
I will continue to provide constructive criticism to the autodesk team on this, starting with why their utility network objects completely got pipelines wrong:
This is not picking on Autodesk, it is explaining to them how they could fix things and dominate the civil market. All civil engineering software makers need to see the foundation of things are true alignments, not node to node parts.
If autodesk was on the right track, I might not remind them how far they are from the goal. I don’t think they have any intention of fixing Civil3D though, just higher prices and more marketing.
